With five solo albums and numerous collaborative projects to his credit, guitarist-singer-songwriter Charlie A’Court is an eight-time MusicNS award winner and a five-time ECMA award winner. Described as “a singing tour de force” by CBC music journalist Bob Mersereau, Charlie A’Court has twice been named Nova Scotia’s Entertainer of the year and picked up the 2015 Blues Recording of the Year award from both MusicNS and ECMA for his latest album, Come On Over. Signed to Australia based Fanfare Records in Fall 2015, A’Court launched Come On Over in Australia with an extensive seven-week tour, including national tours with blues-boogie legends Canned Heat, and iconic reggae group UB40. A’Court continues to tour non-stop throughout his native Canada and “his adopted second home” of Australia, with occasional forays to the USA, UK and Europe. Recorded and released in July 2016, A’Court’s latest single/video titled, “Refuse To Fear” (co-written by Charlie A’Court and Australian bluesman Lloyd Spiegel) met with immediate attention and support on all manner of media platforms.
