(November 6th, 2022) Twenty-eight Music Nova Scotia Awards were handed out this afternoon over brunch, including a complimentary Caesar bar provided by Nova Scotia Spirit Co.

The Music Nova Scotia Awards Celebration at Membertou Trade and Convention Centre celebrated both new and notable artists, with DeeDee Austin, Nicole Ariana, and The Town Heroes leading the way with two trophies each. Guests also enjoyed musical performances by Morgan Toney, Keith Mullins, ShiftFromTha902, and Emma Steevenson (Wela'lin), DeeDee Austin, and Music Nova Scotia 2021 and 2022 Artists and Residence Kxng Wooz and Jody Upshaw.

Also celebrated during the ceremony was the a capella quartet Four The Moment, who were paid tribute to through a performance by Amariah Bernard Washington, Zamani Miller, Haliey Smith, and Micah Smith, and who received the Recognition of Excellence from the Music Nova Scotia Board of Directors.

Music Nova Scotia’s board and staff thank all of the individuals that helped make Nova Scotia Music Week 2022 a success, including but not limited to performers, delegates, sponsors, committees, volunteers, fans, family, and the entire Sydney community. Thank you for welcoming us back after ten years for our 25th anniversary!
