ANNOUNCING: Nova Scotia Music Week Youth Showcase, Late Night Stage, and NSMW Closing Party presented by Cox & Palmer

(October 28, 2024 - Halifax, NS) Music Nova Scotia is excited to announce the following special events that have been added to the Nova Scotia Music Week 2024 schedule:

Youth Showcase

Music Nova Scotia is pleased to add the following performers to the NSMW festival lineup for a special Youth Showcase event:

  • Alaina Therese

  • Chloe Rudolph

  • The Sh!t Goblins

  • Ziahz

The Youth Showcase will take place on Friday, November 8 at The Old Orchard Inn’s Heritage Barn (Support4Culture Artist Lounge), where doors open at 3:30pm. The Youth Showcase is free for all NSMW passholders to attend! 

Those looking to attend the youth showcase specifically may redeem a FREE Youth Showcase Wristband by emailing our Box Office Coordinator, Anna Brown, at anna@musicnovascotia.ca! Admission for this event is recommended for ages 15 and older, though ticket holders do not gain access to regular NSMW programming.

Late Night Stage

Music Nova Scotia is pleased to bring the late-night stage back to NSMW! On Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, MNS will host a lottery-style draw for showcasing artists and festival attendees alike to submit their names for the opportunity to play a 15min set at The Old Orchard Inn’s Orchard Hall where doors will open at 12:00am, after regular showcasing has ended. Names will be drawn at 1pm each day in the Support4Culture Artist Lounge, and announced on Music Nova Scotia’s Instagram account. Note: Late Night programming is only open to artist, delegate, and VIP pass holders to attend, subject to venue capacity.

NSMW Closing Party, presented by Cox & Palmer

Music Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the NSMW Closing Party, presented by Cox & Palmer! Join us Saturday, November 9 at The Old Orchard Inn’s Orchard Hall for a performance by Rankin MacInnis & The Broken Reeds, featuring special guests. Doors will open at 12:00am. Note: the NSMW Closing Party is only open for all artist, delegate, and VIP pass holders to attend, subject to venue capacity.

Regular pricing for Festival Wristbands, Delegate Passes, and day passes ends this week: grab yours at nsmw.ca/tickets before week-of pricing takes effect November 4!

Music Nova Scotia is additionally offering a special 30% member discount for NSMW 2024 Delegate Passes. Please log into the Member Benefit Portal to get the code. Delegate Passes gain access to all NSMW showcases (subject to capacity), conference sessions, mixers, and special events hosted by NSMW.
