ECMA Wellness 1-on-1s: Do you have concerns about your mental health or substance use? Have you had difficulty accessing supports you feel would help you? Have you self-diagnosed based on symptoms and would like a professional opinion?
Errin Williams, licensed clinical therapist and social worker with over 10 years of mental health counselling experience, is available to meet with you during Nova Scotia Music Week. You and Errin will meet confidentially to come up with a plan to assist you in meeting your mental health and wellness goals. Please reach out to book an appointment wellness@ecma.com - there is no charge for this service.Complimentary headshot photography for showcasing artists Meghan Tansey-Whitton (pre-registration is required and will be sent to showcasing artists directly by Support4Culture)
Passive Recreation Sessions: Recreation therapy can play a vital role in supporting musicians and artists who are transitioning their serious leisure into a livelihood. By providing targeted interventions that address burnout, identity formation, motivation, and social connectedness, recreation therapists can help creative professionals maintain their well-being and preserve the joy and meaning that originally inspired their engagement in music or art. In this intervention, leisure sampling will be used to help clients explore new activities and how to take them from passive to active leisure to maximize health benefits.
Snacks will be provided thanks to our friends at Dairy Farmers of Canada.
The Support4Culture Artist Lounge is a dry space. Our friends at Labatt will be serving their non-alcoholic Hop Water fresh from the keg and we’ll have Barkeep Cocktails non-alcoholic Nono Spritz’s available!
Meals
Lunch (or breakfast, or dinner!) is on us! We will once again be offering showcasing artists one meal voucher per band member that can be redeemed at Acadia University’s Wheelock Dining Hall. Please pick up your meal voucher with your artist pass and present it to the attending staff at Wheelock Dining Hall during their open hours for entry. View the menu on Acadia’s website here.
